i haven’t figured out why it does this or how to fix it, but i do know that with the game i can’t remember, once i “reinstalled” the game, i was still able to access my old saved games.

There seems to be an issue with FIN (and i think HAU or maybe VEN? i can’t remember which one tbh) where every time you open the game wrapper you’re prompted to install it again. (which is fine, cause it’s really easy to do) I haven’t done another wrapper for another game, but i’m pretty sure you have to make a wrapper for each separate game.
but that’s probably because the original games never had a windowed mode to begin with. The game will install in about 10-15 seconds, then you can play the game!įor me, installing ghost dogs of moon lake on Lion 10.7.5, wrapper 1.3.18 worked great for me–no screen flicker and no mouse lag! the only downside is even with advanced settings, i can’t force the program into windowed mode. this option, however, should be preselected (wineskin comes with Direct X already, i think) this will prompt the installation process. the program has moved the folder into the wrapper (if you had your copied files on your desktop, you’ll notice they’ll be missing) Then… nothing will seem to happen! don’t worry. Select “install software” and choose “move a folder inside”.
When it’s done creating the wrapper, click “show wrapper in finder”Ī new finder window will open with your wineskin wrapper waiting. There may be some accessory things it needs to install. name it whatever you want (likewise i’ve been naming the wrappers after the games they contain) Once you have your copied file contents and an engine installed (showing under "installed engines”), click “create new blank wrapper” with the engine highlighted. open the file, highlight and copy all of the file contents, then paste them into a new folder labelled whatever you want (i’ve been using the game acronyms, so my trials were all DOG, DOG2, DOG3 etc) if you have screen flicker issues or mouse lag, try 1.7.14NoFlicker for screen flicker issues, or 1.3.18 for mouse lag (though 1.3.18 solved both flicker + mouse lag issues for me) pick the latest one and try that out using the following steps. There are a lot of them and they can be overwhelming. you’ll need to install an engine (by cicking on the little “+” sign which will be to the left of “New Engine(s) available!”)
